IELTS Test Formats
IELTS has two formats: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
Listening and Speaking sections are same for both the formats but there are minor differences in the subject matter of the Reading and Writing sections depending on the format you take.
Listening, Reading and Writing sections of the IELTS test for both the formats are completed on the same day. Keep in mind that there are no breaks during the exam.
The Speaking section can be completed on the same day or after depending on the test centre’s arrangements.
The entire IELTS test time, including all the sections, is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
